Feature Request: "Open Folder" Action in Nextcloud macOS VFS Client

Summary

Add an option to open local folder with in nextcloud just like the stand sync has it.

Motivation

• Users often need to locate files directly in Finder for context, sharing, or local operations.
• OneDrive and iCloud already provide a convenient "Open Folder" button, improving usability.
• Implementing this in Nextcloud would enhance parity with commercial cloud solutions and reduce friction for macOS users.

I don't understand. The only way to view files in the client IS in finder, or, how else? The client doesn't show files, at least, not that I can see...

From the browser you can already open files locally (see ... menu) and the only other way to see files is from finder. So where / when should this 'show folder' thing show? Maybe I mis something, could you add a screenshot maybe?

So for example on OneDrive when the user opens the app menu there's a option to open folder and it takes you to the OneDrive folder within the finder for the user nextcloud has this option for standard sync so the request is the add it to vfs for macOS this option is also available on windows for both standard sync and vfs

@AndyXheli Can you please reduce the issue description to the feature specification and leave out technical details? The add noise but are partially even misleading or built in false assumptions ("Proposed Design"). A more concise feature description helps to understand this issue more quickly. Also, including the elaboration of later comments would be great.

If I understand correctly, you would like to have the "Open local folder" button which shows up on macOS only for classic synchronization folders as off now, right? I checked just now, see this screenshot:

This is simple to achieve by getting the user visible URL of the file provider domain for the currently selected account and handing it over to the workspace API for opening.

users won’t need to manually browse to ~/Library/CloudStorage

File provider domains are top-level items in the "Locations" section of the Finder sidebar (users may hide it in Finder's settings, though). They are quite conveniently exposed to the user this way. Accessing them via ~/Library/CloudStorage/<domain display name> is not the way the conventional way of usage.

Correct, just like the standard sync had that icon that open the users local folder it would be nice to have that under VFS on macOS please! 🙏
